British Summertime is an Afternoon Tea that pairs classic British flavours with contemporary techniques. Vibrant berries, fragrant florals and playful textures bring each creation to life, from the delicate layers of a Strawberry & Earl Grey Mille-feuille to the refreshing Blueberry & Lime Mojito Tart. Every element is designed to capture the effortless indulgence of long summer afternoons and elegant garden gatherings.

Traditional Afternoon Tea
Served alongside a selection of delicate finger sandwiches, our British Summertime Traditional Afternoon Tea captures the warmth and nostalgia of a British summer in full bloom. Seasonal berries, botanical notes and elegant pâtisserie bring a fresh interpretation to timeless afternoon tea traditions.
A Strawberry & Earl Grey Mille-feuille layers crisp puff pastry with fragrant Earl Grey pastry cream, fresh strawberries and cream for a refined take on a quintessential British pairing, while a Blueberry & Lime Mojito Tart offers a refreshing burst of sharp citrus, cooling mint and blueberry, inspired by long summer afternoons. To finish, a Blackcurrant & Vanilla Yoghurt Sponge Cake balances light yoghurt mousse with the rich intensity of British blackcurrants, celebrating the flavours of the season at their peak.
Make it extra special with a sharing cocktail, a glass of Laurent-Perrier Brut Champagne, or our Laurent-Perrier Champagne Tasting Board for the table.
Savoury High Tea
The British Summertime Savoury High Tea celebrates the comforting flavours of a British summer with a refined, contemporary touch. Classic seasonal favourites are reimagined through elegant presentation, balancing nostalgia with modern craftsmanship.
A Chicken & Tarragon Vol-au-vent pairs delicate pastry with a rich, herb-infused filling, while a Shepherd's Pie Tartlet offers a refined take on a much-loved British classic. Smoked Haddock & Leek Pâté served with an oat cracker brings a taste of the coast, complemented by a Chilled Tomato Soup with red pepper and basil for a light, vibrant finish. A Ham Hock Terrine with piccalilli completes the selection, before a choice of British cheeses is served to follow.
Make it extra special with a negroni-style cocktail or a glass of Laurent-Perrier Brut Champagne.

Our Summer Afternoon Tea Drinks & Cocktail Menu is inspired by long, sunlit afternoons and the bright, fruit-forward flavours of the season.
A glass of Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée Champagne sets the tone, while our Laurent-Perrier Champagne Tasting Board invites you to explore the house's signature styles. Sharing cocktail teapots, including the sparkling Apricot & Peach Fizz and nostalgic Me, Myself & Pimm's, are made for lingering over afternoon tea with friends.
For something served by the glass, the floral Bluebell and rich Blackberry Sour capture the essence of an English summer, while our Raspberry & Peach Spritz and Tropical Fizz offer the same vibrant seasonal flavours without the alcohol.

The tea leaves used are among the finest available. Only first and second flush leaves, those picked in prime season from March to July go into Newby products. Founded in 1812, Laurent-Perrier is one of the most distinguished, family-owned Champagne Houses.
Based in the heart of the Champagne region in Tours-sur-Marne, Laurent-Perrier has a pedigree for handcrafting elegant champagnes using traditional and time-honoured methods. There are eight champagnes in the award-winning Laurent-Perrier range, from the iconic Cuvée Rosé to delicious Blanc de Blancs (Brut Nature) and the luxurious Grand Siècle by Laurent-Perrier. Dark Woods Coffee
Dark Woods Coffee is an adventurous coffee roaster, Barista school, and pop-up café nestled on the edge of Marsden village in the West Yorkshire Pennines.
Though Dark Woods was born in 2013, the history of its founding partners takes in many years’ experience in roasting, sourcing, consultancy, training and machine development within the UK coffee industry. It is this collective knowledge and expertise which allowed them to rapidly grow a customer base which includes some of the country’s top cafés and restaurants.
